Reading a bit online it seems that picture vinyls are inherently slightly lesser in sound quality than black vinyl apparently they re made of a different material. Picture discs will generally not have the same sound quality as black vinyl. I m a huge tool fan and i ve loved this album for well over a decade so spending 50 pounds on this record felt expensive but totally worth it. It s not the picture disc they are normally crap sonically it s a 180g black vinyl copy.

I agree on the lateralus picture discs being very noisy. I noticed that there were alot of heavy skips on a few songs parabola lateralus and schism for example and i was afraid that either the. Also lps require cleaning prior to each play due to the mid 20th century mechanical technology that lps are. I have the official 2lp undertow too and it does sound really good my copy is pretty much silent for any surface noise.

Lateralus has long been a favourite album and this vinyl pressing serves only to enhance the experience. 2x vinyl lp album limited edition picture disc reissue 180g country. I ordered the lateralus vinyl records at amazon about two weeks ago i am talking about the image picture vinyl of course and hyped as hell i got the package opened it and played it right away. The fact that they are picture discs normally flags up issues of sound quality straight away but these are fine and i certainly haven t come across any jumps or scratches affecting playback.
