If a frame is crooked water can leak into the gaps between door and frame.

Small stones and debris from shoes can accumulate in the sliding glass channels. Aim a garden water hose with a sprayer set on mist or low at the outside of the sliding door. Spray lubricant into the hole on the edge of the door. Place the straw attached to the lubricant into the hole and press the trigger.

A sliding glass door is no better than the frame into which it is placed. Have a reputable sliding door contractor remove the door if it has not been damaged build a new frame and reinstall the door. Look for the hole in the door over the tracks or on the inside of the door. If you cannot re create the leak problem inspect the interior of the door for stains or rust.

If water is leaking through a shower door where two panes of glass meet a seal should be installed. To slide the heavy doors along the metal frames the doors use metal or plastic rollers. If the door is pulled over the debris the debris may be enough to lift the door in the track. If you have a problem with water leaking it will usually be on the bottom track threshold of the non stationary door.

Then remove any wood trim around the door. My advice is to carefully remove the aluminum trim that s covering the wood trim that surrounds the sliding patio door. Spray the door and look for the leak location. These seals are usually installed with an adhesive that keeps them in place.

Check to see which door moves and which one is the stationary. You need to determine if the top. This seal simply acts as a barrier that fills the gap between the two panes and allows the water to drain back into the shower instead of escaping.
