This post is a bit older but i just got a steelcase leap for both the wife and i and we love it.
Leap chair vs aeron reddit.
These are all 2nd hand prices and i can t exactly return it because it s not comfortable.
Also there was much more room to put your legs up the aeron doesn t really allow you to sit like that.
The leap wins adjustability hands down and probably overall comfort.
The aeron chair scored an 81 100 and the leap chair score an 83 100.
I m worried my leap is going to get warped from sitting out in the heat in the freight trailer it s been days in 90 weather.
Leap v2 vs aeron i bought a leap v2 recently and when it comes to back support its great but the seat is painful to sit on i wan wondering if i would have more luck with the aerons mesh seat instead baring in mind i havent tried mesh before.
I feel like it s worth it even at full price though you can certainly find them used cheaper.
It really is going to be very dependent on your individual preferences.
The differences aren t enormous and opinions may vary but our view is that the aeron is perhaps a quarter step down from the leap.
It s a fantastic chair by any reckoning although in our view in comparing the herman miller aeron vs steelcase leap the aeron comes up ever so slightly short.
I would consider the gesture a more relaxing chair but still supportive and more comfortable.
The herman miller aeron is an iconic comfortable and durable chair and the mesh back and seat make it a better option than the gesture if you run hot or work somewhere without air conditioning.
I m not saying the aeron is trash because i used one crappy mesh chair but the leap is more of a known quantity.
I think these are both exceptional quality built chairs with price tags to match.
The aeron chair s armrests on our test chair were three dimensional offering pivot height and depth adjustments.
The aeron wins posture support quieter casters and frame fit if there s such a thing.
Steelcase leap vs hm aeron test so i got fed up waiting for my leap to get to me it s stuck in oregon because of stupid fedex and decided to also buy an aeron since they re on sale.
The steelcase leap v2 looks more like a conventional chair plus it s much cheaper.
Plus if it s the leap v2 i know it s not a 20 year old.
Like people have said steelcases are a more versitile chair especially when buying for an office when everyone is different.
It has very minimal padding on the back and it doesn t give like the trampoline mesh of an aeron or the cushioning of a plush chair.
Both chairs are currently ranked in the top three overall for armrest comfort.
My work has what i believe is an aeron i know it s herman miller and mesh and it s a nice chair but i prefer the leap personally.
It is much closer to a hard chair than a plush chair and this is by design.
