So when i was taking a shower these past few days i have been noticing light knocks on the door and such.
Leaving door open while taking shower.
Turn the fan on with the door closed.
Or let the fan run while showering instead of just afterwards.
Either way some steam will be getting on your walls.
You re probably helping your walls by leaving the door open.
Doing these simple things each day after you bathe is the easiest way to prevent mold and mildew growth.
At the least you will want to leave the door open a crack.
I doubt it really matters when you open the door after you finish a huge cloud of steam will waft into the next room or if you leave it open it will happen gradually during the course of the shower.
Just as i heard it i looked so gently without moving the shower curtain and saw someone trying to open the door stealthy but obvious failed because i noticed.
It may take a little hit and miss until you get the door to sit level and properly seated in the track.
Shower curtains are prime targets for mildew.
Better for my apartment to shower with the door open or closed.
So someone tried to peek on me my paranoia went wild.
I need a ruling.
I never knew what it was but today i saw what it was.
The steam will dissipate more evenly into the house keeping the bathroom drier while increasing humidity elsewhere.
The first thing to verify that the fan is able to both pull air in and push it out.
Here s a deceptively simple solution.
If you notice a change in the noise of the fan the room is too tightly sealed for the fan to pull air in.
If you have a shower with a door leave the door open to air out the inside of the shower.
In your case because the door slides open you ll need to either raise the back of the door or lower the front of the door that should be hitting the rubber stop in the closed position by changing the position of the roller.
If you have a shower door leave it open after you step out to let the running fan circulate air throughout the entire space getting the shower door walls floor and ceiling to dry more quickly.
Showering is also the enemy of sheetrock.
As soon as you get out of the shower wipe the floor and close the curtain so it can fully dry out.
Leave the door openwhen you shower.
After it has run for a couple of minutes open the door.
